The best in the Midwest: Fargo's Mobile Summit
The 2014 Midwest Mobile Summit is officially in the books, with events occurring throughout Monday and finishing up early Tuesday afternoon this week. Hosted by the committed team members of Myriad Mobile, the two-day conference boasted a slew of impressive statistics: over 300 participants, activities at 10 locations, and 21 world-class speakers. All of this on two weekdays. These numbers constitute the successful transpiration of the Midwest Mobile Summit.
Representatives from notable technology firms like Microsoft and Samsung were present, as well as up and coming leaders in recently successful startups like Infusionsoft and Stripe. Those sharing their mobile expertise on stages – among many other national leaders – included Greg Brockman and Marc Chesley, Chief Technology Officer of Stripe and Infusionsoft, respectively. After a number of breakout speaking sessions throughout Monday and Tuesday – and not to mention a number of rooftop parties – summit participants convened for a final lunch and networking event at ecce art & yoga in downtown Fargo.
If you did not have the opportunity to participate in this year’s Midwest Mobile Summit, you are in luck: Myriad Mobile and Emerging Prairie will continue to host monthly Mobile Tech Meetups. The next meetup will take place on Wednesday, May 14, at 5:30pm. Stop by Studio 222 on Broadway for this one-hour event to hear a recap of how Midwest Mobile Summit events put Fargo on the map, as well as some guest speakers discussing the week’s other content.
