Organizers of TEDx NDSU hosted their inaugural event yesterday evening.  The theme of the event was “Inspire Today, Spark Tomorrow” and featured numerous speakers both from NDSU and outside of the school.  Among the several speakers were Josh Reminitz, an NDSU alum who recently became the youngest member ever elected to the Minneapolis School Board.  Other speakers included Ben Clark, a current NDSU student who spoke of his experiences in ultra-marathoning, and Mike Zastoupil, an NDSU graduate student who spoke about health and diet choices.

The TEDx NDSU event is only the latest in a number of TEDx events hosted in the Fargo community.  The next TED-affiliated event is TEDMED Live, which will occur at Dakota Medical Foundation.  TEDx Fargo will follow later this spring, and will be significantly expanded in scope and participation.
