About Troy Vareberg

Troy Vareberg grew up in West Fargo and logically attended North Dakota State University back when football was still played outdoors. After graduating with an Electrical and Electronics degree, he worked in the consulting engineering world and was one of the project electrical engineers that designed the FargoDome.

While in college, he also met his future wife, Emmy. Upon Emmy’s graduation with a degree in Industrial Engineering, they moved to central Iowa where Troy worked for Ames Laboratory on the campus of Iowa State University as a Facilities Engineer. With both Troy and Emmy still having family in North Dakota, they eventually moved back to Fargo when an opportunity presented itself. That opportunity transformed into the founding of Vareberg Engineering in the summer of 1997.

About Blue Comply

Vareberg Engineering has been involved with the design of more than 2000 construction project throughout the United States since its inception. In the last 15 years, many of those projects have been for the Oil and Gas industry in Western North Dakota. While the Oil and Gas projects mainly focused on the electrical power requirements for production facilities, it was soon discovered that there were many opportunities in other area – specifically, methane detection. With a lot of research, and the ability to draw from an extensive existing clientele base, Troy and Emmy decided to launch a new venture to address the ongoing issues faced by the Oil and Gas Producers in North Dakota and throughout the United States. Hence, Blue Comply was formed.
