About Wil Dort
Skill Cutz is not a typical barbershop or salon and does not aspire to be, a visit reveals why people travel from across the tri-state region to experience their exceptional service. Immigrating from Haiti in 1997, Wil, known as North Dakota’s “First Black Barber,” embarked on a remarkable journey from a Cass County jail cell to Moler Barber College in downtown Fargo in 2006, riding a purple bike. Through sheer motivation, dedication, and faith instilled by the Jail Chaplains, he defied the odds, transforming from Fargo’s Most Wanted to one of its most successful entrepreneurs. Together with his brothers AJ and Louima, along with two other owners, Wil serves the Fargo/Moorhead community with unwavering passion.”
