About Mark
Born and raised in the Fargo-Moorhead area, Mark Bjornstad has a particular love and affinity for the unique, old, and weird side of Fargo. It was that attraction that ultimately drew him back to Fargo in 2010 after living outside the area for many years. Knowing there was a need and an opportunity in Fargo for something fun and exciting, Mark co-founded Drekker Brewing in 2013 along with co-founders Jesse Feigum, Darin Montplaisir, and Mason Montplaisir with the focused mission to catalyze moments that bring people together and challenge the definition of what beer and a brewery could be. Mark now spends his days making messes, occasionally cleaning them up, apologizing to his wonderful wife for how wild, weird, but also fun their two little boys are and most of all, being proud and inspired by the amazing team of talented weirdos at Drekker and the community that supports them. Mark Bjornstad is the co-founder of both Drekker Brewing Company and Brewhalla.

About Drekker Brewing Company + Brewhalla
Drekker Brewing is a brewery and taproom located in one of Fargo’s oldest buildings – a restored railroad shop built in 1883. Drekker Brewing Company specializes in unique and adventurous small-batch beers but has something on tap for everyone.
Brewhalla is the home of Drekker Brewing Company and it’s become so much more than a brewery & taproom. It’s a good times factory. The Drekker team is building out a dream expansion that brings together the most amazing experiences we could conjure. Made up of a food market filled with Fargo’s best & most creative restaurants, shops & makers, a bumping event center to throw killer parties, and a hotel like no other to truly immerse yourself in the full Drekker Experience.

“Beer is our craft but Drekker is about much more than the contents of a glass, it’s about what happens when those glasses get raised together. We believe in catalyzing moments where people come together and celebrate the weird and extraordinary.”

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your entrepreneurial journey?
“You cannot do this alone. You don’t want to and you’d be missing out on the true potential of your dream. Build a team of awesome people and do everything you can to protect them, support them, grow them and celebrate them”
