Family HealthCare of Fargo, ND, has announced it will host the region’s first Health Pitch event, focusing on innovation in healthcare and wellness.  Headlining the event will be keynote speaker, Scott Harrison, who is founder and leader of Charity:Water, an international non-profit focused on providing sustainable, clean water wells for remote locations in impoverished regions.  Charity:Water has been widely acclaimed for its highly innovative and technology-driven approach to nonprofit work.

Health Pitch will feature 15 regional leaders who will have three minutes to “pitch” their idea for disruptive innovation in the field of healthcare and wellness.  Pitch topics will include the fields of mobile healthcare apps, sustainable dentistry, community exercise engagement, new medical technologies, and more.  The event will occur on Thursday, August 15, 2013, from 3:30 to 6:30 PM at The Stage at Island Park.  Tickets are available at http://healthpitch.eventbrite.com.

Emcees for the event will be James Burgum of Arthur Ventures, and Family HealthCare CEO, Patricia Patrón.  Family HealthCare is a nonprofit organization serving low-income and culturally diverse persons in Cass and Clay counties with their healthcare needs for over 20 years.
