A few weeks ago, LeadPages CEO and co-founder Clay Collins came to Fargo and spoke about company culture at Arthur Ventures’ Cultivate.you event. Yesterday, he announced that the Minneapolis-based startup raised $27 million in a Series B round of funding, led by Drive Capital with participation from Foundry Group and Arthur Ventures.
This brings LeadPages’ venture capital funds to a total of $38 million – and they haven’t spent any of it, according to Collins.
“Having this money in our coffers allows us to make larger bets,” he said in a press release. “In the next 12 months we’ll be tripling the size of our engineering team, acquiring two or three companies, and growing our enterprise sales team.”
Collins co-founded LeadPages with co-founder Tracy Simmons, as a way to create customizeable, mobile-friendly landing page templates that increase conversion rates, and offer digital marketing tools for businesses. Since its launch in January 2013, LeadPages has worked with more than 35,000 customers.
The funding announcement also coincides with the launch of LeadPages Corporate, an enterprise-level version of LeadPages, and the launch of LeadPages’ first-annual user conference, Converted, taking place October 20-21, 2015 in Minneapolis.
