About Joe and Jim
Joe Raso is the Secretary, Executive Committee and Board Member for Fueling Our Future. He serves as the President/CEO of the Greater Fargo Moorhead EDC. Jim Parsons is the Treasurer, Executive Committee and Board Member for Fueling Our Future. He serves in this capacity as Vice President of Finance and Operation and Interim President/CEO of The Chamber Fargo Moorhead West Fargo. Joe attended University of Northern Iowa and received an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a graduate degree in Public Policy. Joe loves to travel, listen to live music, play golf, run, and spend time outdoors. Joe’s favorite part of his job is that every day is a new challenge! Jim Graduated from Moorhead State University of Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Jim enjoys landscaping and building things! Jim loves going to work every day because of the difference they make in the community moving it forward.
About Fueling Our Future
Fueling Our Future is a partnership between The Chamber and the Greater Fargo Moorhead EDC to put a focus on addressing “Big Rock” issues in the region. The partnership was founded by the Chamber and GFMEDC and it officially launched in May of 2019. The program is focused on initiatives that support workforce, placemaking, and business prosperity. Fueling Our Future’s mission is “a consensus regional agenda, bringing together resources to focus on large-scale solutions that create lasting regional impact, led by business and community leaders.” Joe explained, “Former Chamber CEO, Craig Whitney, and the Chamber leadership brought the idea forward, having learned it from Sioux Falls, SD and their Forward Sioux Falls initiatives.”
