Our Emerging Prairie team is on the grow! Meet our newest teammate: Megan Jeromchek. She’s joining our team as an Event Coordinator. She is an event specialist who spent the last 3 years working in the events industry in Denver. After graduating with a degree in Communication Studies from Minnesota State University Moorhead, she spent time living in Hawaii, Omaha, and Denver before her and her husband decided to once again make Fargo home. She is excited to bring her experiences to Emerging Prairie, where she will oversee event logistics for the organization. Megan is recently married to her husband Jordan and loves traveling, writing, and all things pop culture.
Meet Megan
Nickname: Growing up I was always called “Nitsch” or “Nitschke”…but I’ve got a new last name now, so I’ll need a new nickname!
Hometown: Mandan, ND
Why are you in Fargo?
I was born and raised in Mandan, ND. After college, I moved around a bit before deciding to move back to North Dakota. My husband and I picked Fargo because we wanted to be a part of the growth and excitement happening here.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy writing, spending time outdoors, traveling, and catching up on my favorite TV shows.
What’s your favorite hidden gem that you’ve discovered so far in Fargo?
Stumbeano’s coffee bar. It’s literally a “hidden” gem, nestled in the basement of the Loretta Building downtown. I love the quaint quietness, but there’s also a connected community feel. And the coffee is incredible!
How did you first hear of Emerging Prairie?
I was familiar with Emerging Prairie through social media and word-of-mouth since I was familiar with a couple members of the team. It was then dear Annie Wood who reached out to me to talk about this great company and opportunities they had available. After talking to Annie, then Greg, I was immediately hooked and knew this was an organization I wanted to be a part of.
As a new member of the EP team, what are you most looking forward to?
I’m excited to see the impact Emerging Prairie makes on the community. I’m also excited to connect with the entrepreneurs, creators, and dreamers who are working together to promote, grow, and develop Fargo.
Be sure to welcome Megan when you see her around at 1 Million Cups Fargo and other Emerging Prairie events!
