Tell us a little bit about you!
I grew up in the Twin Cities in Minnesota with my parents, younger sister, and a very fluffy pet rabbit. I came to Fargo in 2020 to attend NDSU where I studied English and International Studies with a certificate in Professional Writing.
I traveled to eight countries during college, studied abroad in Spain, was co-president of the NDSU Entrepreneurship Club, and participated in many other clubs and community organizations. When I’m not reading or drinking coffee, you can find me cross country skiing, planning game nights, dreaming up my next travel desination, and learning to make new foods.
What college did/do you attend? What was/is your major?
I attended NDSU and double majored in English and International Studies with a certificate in Professional Writing
What’s one activity that energizes you?
One activity that energizes me is connecting with people on a personal level, especially when I can do it while speaking Spanish. I love attending international potlucks and events where I can learn more about the world and make friends with people who are also curious about the world we live in.
If you could take a 30 day, all expense paid vacation, where or how would you spend your time?
I would spend 30 days backpacking through Latin America. I would visit Machu Picchu in Peru, stay in hostels, try all the food, and invite as many friends as I could to come with me so I don’t get kidnapped (mostly joking…)
Do you have a favorite book or movie?
My favorite books are Anne of Green Gables, The Lord of the Rings series, and Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus. My favorite movie is Where the Crawdads Sing.
What’s your favorite part about living in the FM area? What’s your favorite hidden gem that Fargo has to offer?
My favorite part about living in the FM area is the sense of community and belonging. Everyone here is friendly and welcoming, and I love running into people I know while I’m out and about. My favorite hidden gems are both of the 20 Below coffee shops and outdoor patio (during the summer) at Camp Lone Tree, the upstairs restaurant at 701 Eateries.
Tell us one random fact about yourself!
I backpacked through seven countries in Europe during the summer of 2022 during my study abroad trip to Spain! I can also crack an egg with one hand.
Why are you excited to work for Emerging Prairie?
I am excited to work for Emerging Prairie to use my skills to contribute to the contagious environment of innovation and connection that EP fosters.
