What impact has EDA had on you?
EDA has changed the trajectory of my life. I was feeling pretty lost when I joined and wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. During my time here I have remembered what it is like to feel passionate about something. EDA has helped me discover how much I enjoy coding and working with others to make amazing things.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned?
I have learned that being around people that are passionate about what they are doing and that care about your success can have a very profound effect on you. Being around these people has helped me grow as a person and find a path that I am excited to travel down.
What is your favorite memory from EDA?
Coming into the classroom and being goofy with the rest of the cohort, even if it was caused by panic or stress, we struggled together.
If you were to give advice to someone considering applying to EDA, what would you say?
It feels scary to start over, but it will be worth it in the end. It will be hard and will test you in ways that you have not been tested before, but it will be worth it in the end. Jump into the deep end and give it your all.
What advice do you have for the next cohort?
There will be times where you will feel like you aren’t good enough and that you shouldn’t be here, but I assure you that you do deserve to be here. That is a normal feeling we all went through and it is part of the journey. Stick with it, push yourself, and you will be surprised where you end up at the end of the journey.
