Fargo, North Dakota – At Cybercon Conference in Bismarck on Oct. 5, Emerging Digital Academy (EDA) accepted the Technology Innovator Award from the Technology Council of North Dakota (TechND).
Emerging Digital Academy is a 20-week coding bootcamp dedicated to addressing the growing demand for skilled software developers in North Dakota. The program is designed to emulate the on-the-job training experience that an entry level software developer would receive in the first few months of work. Students also receive career support alongside their technical training, which prepares them for entering the workforce. Emerging Digital Academy is energized by Emerging Prairie – an organization that focuses on energizing communities by igniting economic growth for the state of North Dakota.
Accepting the award on behalf of Emerging Digital Academy was Greg Tehven, CEO and Co-Founder of Emerging Prairie. “It’s a great honor to be recognized by TechND – an organization that represents the technology industry in the state of North Dakota,” he said. “EDA is built on a network of industry professionals, so receiving this award shows that the community is recognizing the challenges we are trying to solve. I’m grateful for our team, our learners, and our employers. It truly is a team effort to make an impact.”
Emerging Digital Academy’s flagship program is Full Stack Engineering, where students learn front-end and back-end technologies to build programs for the modern web. To date, 37 graduates have completed the program, with a 90% job placement rate. The current cohort graduates on November 12th, and the next cohort begins on November 1st with an application deadline of October 17th.
