About John

John Olhoft, President of Fame 3D, received his Bachelor’s in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering from North Dakota State University! He is currently pursuing an MBA from NDSU! John feels a deep sense of fulfillment when utilizing his experience and knowledge of 3D printers, engineering, and business acumen harmoniously. In addition, John has a passion for building cars and Rock Crawling Jeeps.

Fame 3D, was founded by John Olhoft, Cooper Bierscheid, and Ron Bergan in November of 2019. Fame 3D is the manufacture and sales of LulzBot 3D printers, components, and filament. Fame 3D helps educators, manufacturers, businesses, and personal in-home use. Fame 3D was founded because there was an opportunity to purchase the assets of a Colorado 3D printer company arose in October of 2019. John expands, “A small group of Fargo business people with experience and knowledge of LulzBot 3D Printers negotiated a purchase and moved the company to Fargo.” Fame 3D’s mission is “to continue to develop and produce reliable, easy to use 3D printers applicable to most walks of life and even home use.”

John Olhoft will be speaking at 1 Million Cups on August 5^th at the Scherling Tennis Court Complex at Island Park from 9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. He will be highlighting how it’s never been easier to start 3D printing and that LulzBot 3D printers come ready to print out of the box! He thinks it’s important to speak at events like 1 Million Cups because “it brings the community closer together and allows for the opening of doors you may not have thought of or never even knew were there.”
