Todaymade announced yesterday that its spinout project, CoSchedule, has just finished a funding round with the result of $500,000 in angel investments. As a previously featured startup on Emerging Prairie, this success illustrates the rapidly improving startup ecosystem in North Dakota.
Co-founders Garrett Moon and Justin Walsh report that the opportunity to expand their business has been made possible by lead funders Sandin Holdings and Bullinger Enterprises, both of Fargo, along with matching funds from the North Dakota Development Fund. As a part of this development, Sandin Holdings’ Joe Sandin will join the CoSchedule Board of Directors to add his business insights and acumen to the advancing team. Sandin is currently President of local technology firm OnSharp.
The results from this group bode well for other innovators in North Dakota as it continues to plant its flag as a region for technology and entrepreneurial minds.
Todaymade is a web design and marketing consulting firm that Garret and Justin created in 2009. CoSchedule, a social media editorial calendar to be used with the WordPress blogging platform, was developed in 2013 and has been attracting users ever since. It makes the blogging and social media integration process more intuitive for individuals and organizations alike. The conclusion of this successful funding period marks a turning point for CoSchedule. Emerging Prairie looks forward to seeing this product expand and earn even more recognition throughout the technology and general community in the near future.
