Emerging Prairie is pleased to host the Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai for a roundtable at the Prairie Den today. The purpose of the conversation is for Chairman Pai to meet regional leaders making an impact and take time to explore pathways to connect rural America in the digital economy. This roundtable will allow for conversations in a variety of topics including IOT for rural America, Telehealth, and precision Ag.
Afterwards, Chairman Pai will visit Grand Farm in Horace, North Dakota to discuss precision agriculture and the importance of broadband connectivity and wireless services on farms today.
This is part of the Chairman’s week-long tour of the region during which he will also visit Bismarck, Fargo, and locations in South Dakota, Nebraska, and his home state of Kansas. Since becoming Chairman, Pai has traveled across the country to discuss how to increase broadband deployment and extend digital opportunity to all Americans, promoting job creation, economic growth, education, precision agriculture, and access to health care.
