About Venky Swaminathan
Venky attended Walchand Institute of Technology in India and came to the United States in 1996. He is a very curious person by nature and likes to know everything that is happening in the world. Venky expands, “I am a news junkie and read up on every news topic.” Venky loves that every day he comes across a new use case for their technology platform. Venky says, “That is the most exciting part of my job. I love discussing new solutions, business models and go-to-market ideas with our ecosystem partners and working with them to make those ideas a reality. We are on the cusp of massive digital transformation in rural America and I am having the best time of my life doing my part.”
About Trilogy Networks
Trilogy Networks was founded by George Woodward and Venky Swaminathan in 2013 with two lines of businesses. Venky expands, “In 2019, we saw the market opportunity to bring edge technologies to rural areas and started the distributed cloud division.” Trilogy Networks is all about leading the impact of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 on rural America. Venky says, “That revolution is being fueled by the growth of smart technology and the massive digital transformation it will enable. Trilogy Networks is at the forefront of bringing advanced technologies to rural areas. But we also know that it is much bigger than Trilogy, so we created the Rural Cloud Initiative, a coalition of telecom and technology companies committed to promoting and accelerating the digital transformation of rural America. We are investing heavily in this initiative and supporting the solutions our partners are developing.
Trilogy Networks has been a few years in the making because of John’s experience in the rural telecom industry. He saw the challenges with connectivity and access to digital solutions. Venky expands, “When we saw the coming together of virtualization, 5G, cloud maturity, and connected device solutions, we knew it was the right time to accelerate the deployment of this digital infrastructure and facilitate the revolutionary business improvements they will enable. Trilogy Networks’ mission is to “build a distributed cloud platform covering 1.5 million square miles of rural America on a single network fabric. This digital infrastructure opens up massive opportunities to transform farms and business into digital enterprises.”
